Welcome...
When the slumbering intellect of the individual is awakened
by the power of an idea whose truth is unmistakable,
that individual will begin to see the world
through the lens of that truth,
and she will begin to wonder how she could have existed in benightedness for so long.
But illumination of any kind comes with a price:
Once the individual sees the light,
she can never... (in good conscience and consciousness)
go back to the darkness.
Theory of Oppression
Dr. Cat’s Theory of Oppression is outlined in her upcoming book titled Domination is Abomination: Man’s Oppression of Woman, which is based on her dissertation for the doctorate of psychology. Dr. Cat spent over a decade researching studies from the past century in multiple disciplines including psychology, sociology, anthropology, history, feminist theory, and women’s studies. Her new theory can be applied to members of all oppressed groups but focuses primarily on the experience of women in global culture. The theory states that oppression is systematically carried out on three separate levels of the body, mind and spirit. Assaults upon the body include physical and sexual violence such as battery, rape, and molestation; assaults upon the mind include indirect directives, covert hypnosis, mind control and brainwashing; assaults upon the spirit include the disparagement and destruction of spiritual practices and iconography relevant to the victim. If all three levels are methodically addressed, the oppression becomes total. The term used to define this condition is Totalism.
